One credit covers a single test run, up to 100 steps, on one browser. A test with more steps or run across multiple browsers uses more than one credit — but almost every real-world test fits comfortably inside that limit.

Yes. Recording and running tests locally on your own machine never uses credits, on any plan, including Trial. Credits are only for cloud execution.

Yes — each test can run for up to 30 minutes. If your tests need more time than that, it can be arranged on the Business plan.

On Starter and Team, extra credits are billed at $0.10 each — your tests keep running, you just pay for the overage. On Trial, once your one-time credits are used, you'll need to upgrade to keep testing in the cloud.

No, monthly credits reset each billing cycle. It keeps pricing predictable and avoids stockpiling that doesn't reflect your actual usage.

No. Parallelism affects how fast your suite finishes, not how many credits it costs. Each plan simply caps how many tests can run at the same time.
